How are you?
A common question posed after introducing yourself or greeting someone. Yet, the answer to this question is rarely truthful.
"I'm good"
"I'm doin' alright"
"I'm okay"
But when do we answer truthfully?
This year, I have made it a goal to try to answer this question truthfully as often as possible. Now, I'm not saying to tell your whole life's story to the cashier at the Gas Station. But I'm trying to answer it properly when someone who really cares about me is ready to listen. I also intend sincerely to ask this more. Some people may look fine on the outside and say they're OK, but really they're going through some tough times and need someone to talk too.
Thankfully, as a society, I feel that we have become more aware of our friends and family's mental health. Everyone goes through hard mental blocks, self-doubt, depression, on varying degrees of intensity. Many people feel, especially over the last 2 years, that there is no one out there who cares about them and that there is no way out of these negative feelings.
This is why I wanted to dedicate an episode to talk about this topic in depth, providing personal experiences to hopefully help those who are feeling alone in their struggle.
On this Week's Episode, Charles Cao returns to the Podcast to discuss #MentalHealth and how this last year affected it. We detail our personal struggles with sadness, loneliness and depression and what we did to help lift ourselves.
STAY STRONG EVERYONE!
